You might have seen pictures elsewhere on this site of me holding this serving tray, so I thought I should tell you a little bit about it.
I actually made this while taking part in a resin art class earlier this year. We started out with a plain wooden serving tray and poured in a layer of white resin.
Orange and purple resins were then poured length ways along the serving tray. Using a heat gun, I spread the colours around until I was happy with the patterns formed.
As the resin dried, it developed into the finished product you see here. What do you think?

I've done plenty of circular resin-pour pieces before. This one is a little different though. A friend asked me to make this with colours she chose, which is not that unusual, except she plans to turn this into a lazy-susan! I'm looking forward to being invited over...
