Lets take the time to talk about clocks.

I’ve made a few of these now, and they all start out with a cheap wooden serving platter.  Just like any other piece of resin art, different colours are then poured onto the platter and spread around until I’m happy with the design.

It’s then time to go shopping, either on eBay or Amazon, for clock mechanisims.  The clock kits come in various shapes, sizes and colours, so I have to think about what will work best with the designs I’ve created.

Usually the clock spindels are too short to go far enough through the timber base, so a space for the mechanisim needs to be routed into the back.  That’s a job for my brother-in-law,
thanks Graeme!

Most clock mechanisims come with a hook, so once it’s all put together, the new clock is ready to hang.  Sometimes, though, I’ll also buy some number stickers to put around the clock face at 12, 3, 6 and 9.

Clocks Timelaps.

While I had my latest batch of clocks on the dining room table, Simon thought it would be cool to film a timelapse of them all running.

We aren’t sure how well this video will download and render on the website, but let’s have a go!  Check out the clock timelaps below.
